Discover the intense calendar awaiting our skipper for this 2026 season.
Marie Gendron’s 5 Unmissable Appointments in 2026
The 2026 season promises to be intense for Marie Gendron, with five major races marking her journey towards the highest peaks of solo sailing:
📌 Solo Guy Cotten – 7 March 2026, Concarneau
The season starts strong with this benchmark event which allows skippers to test their solo sailing capabilities early in the year. For Marie, it’s an opportunity to validate her technical skills after a first discovery season on the Figaro circuit.
📌 Laura Vergne Trophy – 30 March 2026, La Trinité-sur-Mer
After her 6th place in the 2025 edition alongside her team-mate Jacques Delcroix, Marie returns to this double-handed race which celebrates mixed-gender sailing.
📌 Banque Populaire Trophy – 18 April 2026, Concarneau
This technical coastal course race allows Figaro sailors to refine their navigation strategies and compete against the best in demanding conditions.
📌 Solitaire du Figaro Paprec – 13 May 2026, start to be confirmed
The season’s highlight! The 57th edition of this legendary race represents the year’s major challenge for Marie. This solo event, consisting of 3 stages over a course of 1,500 to 2,000 miles, constitutes a historic first for our skipper. On the Figaro circuit, all boats are identical: only the skipper’s skills make the difference.
📌 National Figaro 3 – 9 October 2026, Lorient
The season concludes with this national championship which brings together the elite of Figaro sailors. An opportunity to measure the progress made throughout the year.
Sailing Sponsorship Aligned with Our Values
At Kereis, we believe that excellence is built over time, through work, perseverance and the boldness to dare new challenges. This is exactly what Marie Gendron embodies through her journey.
Marie Gendron: An Inspiring Journey
Born in 1992, Marie discovered sailing by building her first boat during her technical university training. Since 2017, she has achieved multiple podium finishes in Mini 6.5, including 3rd place in the second leg of the 2023 Mini Transat and a podium at the 2024 French Championship in the “prototype” category.
By joining the Figaro 3 class in 2025, Marie reaches a new milestone in her career. She thus joins the select circle of female skippers in major offshore races – they represent only 10% of registered skippers.
