Marie Gendron and Kereis: Setting Course for a New Collective Adventure!
A Collective Adventure on the Figaro Circuit
Sailing solo across hundreds of nautical miles, battling unpredictable winds, and constantly pushing one’s limits: this is Marie Gendron’s daily reality. Did you know that only 10% of skippers competing in major offshore races are women?
At Kereis, we believe in challenges, resilience, and innovation. It is therefore with immense pride that we announce our partnership with this exceptional sailor to support her in a new phase of her career on the Figaro 3 circuit.
Dive into this adventure and discover how we share the values of diversity, innovation, and performance together!
As a sponsor alongside SNCF Voyageurs and LÉA NATURE, Kereis France and Kereis Solutions are committed to supporting Marie in championing the values we hold dear:
- Diversity in an environment where women are still underrepresented.
- Innovation as a driving force for progress and performance.
- Regional roots to highlight our origins and local commitment.
- Environmental protection, a fundamental priority in our CSR approach.
An Exceptional Sailor
Marie Gendron’s story is first and foremost one of perseverance and passion. Born in 1992, she discovered sailing by building her first boat during her technical training, despite being initially assigned only to design it. Determined and inspiring, she convinced part of her cohort to join this ambitious project.
Now an engineer specializing in composite structures, she combines technical expertise with environmental commitment. Her innovative approach aims to replace certain carbon components with flax fiber and bio-sourced resin, illustrating her desire to combine performance with environmental responsibility.
Since 2017, Marie has competed continuously in Mini 6.5 races and secured several podium finishes:
- 🏆 Victory at Mini en Mai
- 🏆 3rd place in the second leg of the 2023 Mini Transat
- 🏆 Podium finish at the 2024 French Championship in the “prototypes” category
With remarkable resilience, she has now joined the Figaro class, a demanding circuit where all boats are identical, showcasing the skipper’s skills.
A Shared Commitment with Kereis
The partnership between Marie Gendron and Kereis is built on a shared vision:
